Here’s the day-by-day box office breakup for ‘Stree 2’ after 15 days in India:

  • Week 1: ₹291.65 crores
  • Friday: ₹17.5 crores
  • Saturday: ₹33 crores
  • Sunday: ₹42.4 crores
  • Monday: ₹18.5 crores
  • Tuesday: ₹11.75 crores
  • Wednesday: ₹9.75 crores
  • Thursday: ₹8.25 crores
  • Total: ₹432.80 crores

The film, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has already become the 9th highest-grossing Indian film domestically and the 5th highest-grossing Hindi film overall. Only two films might pose a challenge to its smooth performance: Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ and Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘GOAT.’ However, for these new releases to succeed, they will need excellent word-of-mouth from audiences.

The success of ‘Stree 2’ lies in its strong word-of-mouth, and without it, no film can maintain such impressive box office success.

‘Stree 2’ has been breaking box office records and is now among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, this horror-comedy was released on August 15. After two weeks in theaters, the film has earned a staggering ₹432.8 crores at the domestic box office.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, ‘Stree 2’ earned ₹8.25 crores on Thursday, its lowest single-day earnings since its release. Although the film’s daily earnings are declining, its overall performance remains golden. ‘Stree 2’ has also crossed the ₹600 crores mark worldwide, making it one of the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films ever.

On Thursday, the film was watched by 16.50% of audiences, with the highest attendance for night shows. In Mumbai, where there were 1085 shows, 17% of the audience watched the film. In Delhi and NCR, 17% of the audience attended 1229 shows. Globally, the film had already surpassed ₹630 crores earlier this week, on Tuesday. Although a further decline in earnings is expected as the week progresses, ‘Stree 2’ is likely to comfortably enter its third weekend in theaters. Before today, ‘Stree 2’ has been already broked the box office records of KGF. As the film enters its third week in theaters, it is set to surpass the records of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ (₹505 crores in India), SS Rajamouli’s epic ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ (₹511 crores in Hindi), and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ (₹524 crores and ₹525 crores, respectively). With no new releases this Friday, ‘Stree 2’ is expected to continue performing well over the next weekend.
